![]() ![]() We checked in on a Saturday, and after some initial confusion as to whether the other family would be able to check in without me (as the room was in my name), our friends were able to check in. Overall, we enjoyed the Great Wolf and would recommend it. I recently stayed in a Timber Wolf Condo with a group of four adults and three small children. It would be difficult to stay at another resort in the dells. They were not very busy, maybe 20% capacity, forgot to bring appetizer, and one of our lunches. I don't recommend the following restaurants, Crabbies $40 for all you can eat crab legs but not really all you can eat, and Buffalo Phil's by the hotel(restaurant is gorgeous, food ok, and service very bad. Other recommendations Chula Vista dinner buffett was delicious, best crab legs, and turkey breast I have ever had. Seemed a little less busy then normal for peak summer due possibly to the economy and the weather related tradegies earlier in the summer. On the upside very close to everything and closest hotel to get from and to the highway. ![]() Views from the hotel could be USA anywhere with highway or mall/parking lot views. Wish the hotel/lodge was buried in the woods or on the Wisconsin River. Hotel is very nice beautifull inside and outside. I would not like working in this area, but the employees were nice here as well. It is loud inside with the air cannons continously going off, but little kids seemed to get used to it. Perfect age range is probably 5 to 13, although mom and dad liked shooting the ball cannons at each other. Wiley woods was a nice perk for a break from the pools/slides. Did eat pizza hut at wiley woods which was fine, but a little more expensive then a normal pizza hut. Did not eat at the main hotel other then snacks and drinks, but the food looked pretty good from the outside looking in. The slides go from inside to outside and at night the tubes are pitch black which was cool. It gives you a different experience in my opinion. Slides for the bigger kids and adults were fun and I recommend going in the day and the night. By the end of our stay they were bravely going down the kid slides which are more or less centrally located. We first went to the water area near the dumping water bucket and that kind of scared them. For little ones I would recommend to go the farthest water area past the wave pools to get them used to the park. Saw 5 years olds to 70ish olds enjoying the slides and pools. So in a way the hotel is being green, I guess. Part of the darkness is due to just using lamps, and part of it is due to using fluorescent lamps in the bathroom/sink areas. Never heard a quiet AC unit unless it is off. AC units are in each of the rooms and I would say they are their normal in noise level. Didn't experience any excessive noises, but may have been due to the fact of having a stair case on one side of the room and a service elevator on another. Was worried about the past reviews that noted the noise levels being loud in the hallways. All beds were good, with the kids sleeping to 10 in the morning(this is a first) they usually sleep to around 8. ![]() We slept in the separate main room which had a smallish queen. ![]() We stayed in the two room suite with the 2 year old using the resorts pack and play, and the 4 year old sleeping in the king size bed. Our family is comprised of two 30ish parents with a 2 and 4 year old. Just came back from a 2 night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge that I'm happy enough to write about. ![]()
